Hughson Fire Protection District strives to provide the highest quality training, instruction, and evaluation to our combination fire staff. The purpose of this robust training program is to provide our staff with the knowledge and tools to safely and efficiently deliver emergency services to the community. Training topics include emergency medical services, fire suppression, vehicle extrication, water rescue, HAZMAT response, and several other areas of rescue expertise. Each volunteer firefighter must complete a minimum of 240 hours of initial and continual training a year.
Hughson Fire Protection District is the only fire department in Stanislaus County to have it’s own department sponsored Emergency Medical Technician training course. For more information on course dates and to sign up for the EMT course, please contact the station.
