On behalf of the Hughson Fire Protection District (HFPD), let me welcome you to the HFPD web page. The HFPD is made up of a 5-member Board of Directors, 3 paid staff, and approximately 25 volunteer firefighters, all who are dedicated, and proud of what they do for the residence of the HFPD and neighboring communities. The HFPD has one station that serves approximately 10,000 residents within its 35 square miles district boundaries.

The HFPD provides an array of services which include fire suppression, emergency medical services, auto extrication, water rescue, fire prevention and public education to the residents and the businesses within the district. Our goal is to provide the highest level of service in the most efficient manner possible, and to constantly safeguard and preserve life and property against the elements of fire and disaster. We consistently work to achieve this goal through effective preparation, training, education, and to respond to all emergencies in a safe manner. We accept this challenge and commitment with the upmost pride.

We work very closely with our neighboring fire departments that border our district with our mutual aid agreements. These departments include Denair Fire Protection District, Keyes Fire Protection District, Turlock Rural Fire Protection District and Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Protection District.

We also provide assistance with other departments within Stanislaus County through the county wide mutual aid agreement, along with working closely with the Stanislaus County Fire Wardens Office for fire prevention and education.

Please feel free contact us if you have any questions or have suggestions to improve our services to you.

Professionally,
Scott Berner
Fire Chief
